My new toy
Today Mummy bought me a new toy. It was a coupe car ball pit from the brand Little Tikes. A few days ago she almost bought it online but because the shipment price cost more than the product itself so she didn't commit. Thank God she dropped by Toys"R"Us and saw it at half the price and now I'm sitting inside. Mummy said next time Abram can also play balls with me inside this car. Looking forward to it.

A short trip to the beach
As the childcare center was down with 6 cases of HFMD and 1 case of chicken pox which the majority are from her playgroup class, I decided not to let Mimi attend this week. So Vincent and I had to take turn to babysit her because my in-law are having holiday in China now.
Today is my turn and I had taken three days of leave till Friday. I decided to bring her to Pasir Ris beach this morning as the weather seems good. It was only a short trip but the time was well spent. The beach was quiet and she enjoys the sand play. After that we had lunch at the Downtown East food court before heading home to avoid the rain that was on the way. Half way through the journey on the bus, she fall asleep.

Mimi turns 21 months ( 7th Oct 2009 )
This was actually a belated post as I forgot to publish it.
My darling turns 21 months today and I bought a birthday day cake from Bakerzin for her. It's her favourite cheesecake. We had a mini celebration at my in-law house. We sang the birthday song and she ate up the cake happily asking for more.
When we reached home, her school bag which I ordered online has arrived after a long wait. So she got her second presents for the day. She loves the bag and strike a few poses for it. Finally she can go to childcare with a proper bag.

First visit to Polliwogs
It's Saturday and Mummy decided to bring me to Polliwogs. It seems like a fun place from R&R blog. However early in the morning, it started to rain heavily and Mummy was considering whether to abort the trip. But first of all, we had to make a trip to a car garage cos Daddy's car tyre was flat before we can decide further. Thank God the rain stop after we went to the car garage and we stick on to Polliwogs. I fell asleep during the journey so Daddy & Mummy went to have their lunch at Burger King and I miss eating the french fries...:(
My entrance fees into the Polliwogs was cheaper than what Mummy had expected as I was under two and it cost $8 for one and half hour of play. Overall the place was nice and big even though much smaller in area as compare to Explorer Kids. It was also not very crowded and I get to try out every stations. My biggest challenge was to slide down the long red slide once by myself and the blue slide inside the ball pit several times. I was afraid to let go but at the same time felt the thrilled when I slide down. My favourite play was to sit on the swing and swing and swing.... Mummy said next time I can go to playground and do that without having to pay for it.
After Polliwogs, we had an ice-cream session and it was my first time eating ice-cream. Although I only pinched a bit as I was coughing but the experience definitely makes me wants to eat more.

Latern Festival Celebration
Part 1: Day 2 at School
Today was the 2nd day Mimi went to school. She was a bit tired in the morning and woke up late. I was worried at first that there might be some resistance but to my surprise she was very cooperative and looks forward going to school. Vincent drove us there and I parted with her outside her classroom. She sensed that I was leaving and cling onto me. Her teacher came over and carry her into the class and she put up struggles. I quickly hide behind the window to see what's going to happen.....A few seconds went by and I didn't heard any crying. I peeked again into the class and saw that the teacher was still carrying her and she was observing her friends playing. What a relief. I took the opportunity to went out of the campus for my breakfast with Vincent before returning back to stay there for the rest of the day.
When I came back, I saw that the teachers are preparing them for a walk around the campus with their lanterns. I then heard a familiar voice crying which I suspect was Mimi. I couldn't see clearly as I was hiding right at the end of the corridor. The crying lasted for a few minutes only.
After a while I saw her happily carrying her lantern going for the walk.
Afternoon was another crying episode for her as she refuses to nap. Eventually I step in to pat her and she was so tired that within few minutes, she was snoring away.
From my two days observation, I thank God that she is able to adapt to the new environment easily and take instructions from the teachers very well. She is sociable and enjoys group activities with her classmate. She is also very independent when comes to munching times as the teachers feedback that she got very good appetite. Ha ha what a compliment!
I hope that next week she can cope by herself on a full day basis as I won't be there to observe.
